Is campaign matchmaking being considered for future updates of Halo MCC? As a person who doesn't have a lot of friends who play MCC, I would love to just jump on MCC one day and play online campagin coop with a bunch of randoms. Matchmaking is a multiplayer system which allows players or teams to be matched with others for the purpose of playing an online multiplayer game via an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership. Matchmaking is a multiplayer system that provides players the ability to enter into a game with less effort. Individuals or teams search for a game, and are matched by the system with other similar players. Once an appropriate number of players is found, the match is made and the game can begin. Occasionally, the matchmaking service of a title will be taken offline for one reason or another. In Halo 2 , the matchmaking system was fairly simplistic and very user-friendly, though it does not have any form of custom games search system that is present in Halo: Custom Edition.

For now, co-op crossplay remains exclusive to Halo 3 and ODST Matchmaking and Custom Lobbies When playing Halo 3 or ODST‘s co-op mode, you have two options to connect with friends across platforms: Matchmaking Using MCC‘s online matchmaking queues, you can search for an open public co-op session to automatically join. That allows players to play together in online co-op sessions via matchmaking or custom lobbies when playing those campaigns. This shows a healthy adoption of crossplay capabilities in campaign since its addition. However, the other MCC titles have yet to receive official crossplay support.
